Panerai Luminor Marina - 44mm

# PAM1312

"LUMINOR MARINA. THE IMPORTANCE OF THE SMALL SECONDS."
The small seconds indicator at nine o’clock are an unmistakable element of many of Officine Panerai’s watches and in particular of the Luminor Marina.
THE P.9010 MOVEMENT
"The Luminor Marina, one of the world’s best-loved Panerai models, is updated by the P.9010 automatic movement, with a power reserve of three days. High quality technical content and subtly redesigned proportions have reduced the thickness and weight of these watches."
The Luminor case was created in 1993 for the first collection of Panerai watches developed specifically for the civilian public. Its simple forms and their links with tradition are the basis for the enormous worldwide success of Officine Panerai far beyond the circle of enthusiasts and collectors who, even before 1993, knew and appreciated the unique character of the watches produced by the Italian brand.
Inspired by the historic Luminor 1950 case created for the underwater commandos of the Italian Navy, the Luminor reinterprets these classic proportions in a contemporary manner, preserving all the characteristics which over the years have made this watch an icon of luxury sports watchmaking. Its unique and imposing forms have a strongly masculine character and unequalled robustness.
The lugs are formed from the same block of metal as the case and their design merges perfectly with the shape of the wristwatch. As in the Luminor 1950, the most prominent element is the crown protecting device which ensures the excellent water-resistance of the case.

Panerai

Panerai was born in 1860 in Florence, cradle of the Renaissance, the art and the science which have made Italy famous throughout the world for its creativity and genius. Values that Officine Panerai expresses through its watches, which it reinterprets over time with passion, technical excellence and exclusive design.

A watch-making laboratory, highly specialized since the nineteenth century, supplier of measurement and precision instruments to the Italian Navy in the nineteen hundreds, fine watchmaker and international brand in the twenty-first century. The deep-rooted links with the world of the sea, the true heritage of the Brand, bestow on each watch a sporting character that is unique and authentic, like the history of Panerai.
